Factory Furniture were commissioned to design a range of seating for a redevelopment of Palmerston Road in Southsea. The brief included designs for cantilevered seating to mount onto existing brick planters and free standing freeform benches. The seating units were designed to reflect the nautical history of Southsea. The seating itself featured a similar construction to our Tree bench with FSC® hardwood slats mounted onto a stainless-steel frame. The seating around the planters also featured wave effect timber backrest slats mounted onto a stainless-steel frame and fixed to the planter walls which were clad in ganite.
